A YMCA Corporate Wellness specialist will visit your workplace to conduct onsite inidvidual health assessments. The YMCA Wellness Specialist will compile a report detailing the findings on the health status of your organisation. While each staff member that participates in a health assessment will receive a confidential personalised health assessment. The interventions delivered to your organisation are tailored specifically to meet your organisational requirements.

Why Corporate Wellness

Employees with poor overall health status are far more likely to be absent from work, and are nine times more likely to have sick days, compared to healthy employees.

Lifestyle risk factors such as smoking, drinking, lack of physical activity and excess weight contribute to this time away from work.

Employee morale and stress in the workforce contribute significantly to absenteeism and sick leave. A worker’s health status impacts upon their productivity at work.

The healthiest Australian employees are almost three times more productive than their unhealthy colleagues.

And In a recent survey conducted by Medibank Private 2005 on the Health of Australia's Workforce found:
  • 10 per cent of Australian workers are inactive
  • 40 per cent of Australian workers do minimal exercise
  • 46 per cent of Australian workers live on high fat diets
  • 62 per cent of Australian workers are overweight (28 per cent obese)
  • 53 per cent of Australian workers felt overwhelmed with stress and pressure a significant proportion of the time
  • 56 per cent of Australian workers are in the medium to high-risk area in participating in risk behaviours (including smoking, drinking an sun protection)
  • More than half of Australian workers do not get enough sleep
So what are your employees costing YOU!
