The YMCA Corporate Wellness specialist can assist you and your team to select the health assessment best suited to your workforce. The following are our most popular:

Online Survey

A quick and easy ten minute online survey for employees to complete in their own time. This will   improve the health assessment process and provide valuable information to both the business and employee on the status of workplace health and wellbeing. Information gathered from this survey will assist in pinpointing interventions that would be of most benefit to the workplace. This is a non evasive and easy process to complete, which has proved to be popular tool for motivating employees towards maximising the benefits of a wellness program..

Total Health Assessment

A 45 minute Total Health Assessment includes a full analysis of the individual’s health status, including determining their predisposition to acute and chronic health diseases. This assessment analyses blood sugar levels which assist in measuring nutritional status, in diagnosing diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. The total health assessment also includes cardio respiratory fitness, body composition, muscular strength and flexibility. The individual is presented with an overview of their results with personalised recommendations made by one of our health professionals.

The individual will gain a holistic understanding of their lifestyle behaviours and the impact of these on their health. They will be educatedoon their predisposition to chronic and acute health conditions and will be equipped with interventions to enhance their health.

Health Snapshot

This 30 minute health check screens an individual’s health status. This includes determining the individual’s risk and predisposition to chronic diseases such as hypertension, heart disease and diabetes. This screen analyses blood glucose, cholesterol and includes a bioimpedance body composition analysis. The individual is presented with an overview of their results with personalised recommendations made by a health professional.

Workplace Assessment

Unique to the YMCA is a very easy, non-confronting, confidential way for staff to provide comments on how they feel about their working conditions and environment. This is an essential management tool that speaks clearly to organisation leaders in areas that are critical to staff retention. In addition, the Employee Satisfaction Survey is a great way of measuring strategies implemented through regularly conducting this fun and easy to complete survey.

Physical Job Task Analysis reports are an essential component to addressing workplace injuries. Understanding the physical demands of the workplace is essential, from the most laborious to the sedentary, as injuries are not limited to those that lift heavy objects all day. Through understanding the demands of the work undertaken and the health of employees, specific interventions are tailored to directly address any imbalances that present and therefore reduce the incidence of injury.

Risk Assessments
